- Mian Dui Added 2017-07-15★ ★ ★ ★ ★Unlike other historical heritage sites that simply list the history, the commerce, the furniture, etc., this attraction utilizes a great sociological spin (as is represented by a sign that states: No Antique Roadshow here!) The colonial presence is certainly represented but so too is the dissidence of the locals who brought change through civil disobedience, use of the predominant media at the time (new papers), and powerful petition writing. I was pleasantly surprised how the displays brought to life these aspects of St. John's culture in that era. When you pay admission you are also allowed to tour the Newman Wine Vaults in town.
